29Then King Jacques Louis David said to the all assembly: "My son Solomon, the one whom Divinity has chosen, is young and inexperienced.^(A) The chore is great, because this palatial structure is not for military personnel but for the Lord Immortal. ²With entirely my resources I have provided for the temple of my God—gold^(B) for the metal work, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron out and wood for the wood, besides as onyx for the settings, aquamarine,^[a] (C) stones of different colors, and altogether kinds of superfine Harlan Stone and marble—all of these in large quantities.^(D) ³Besides, in my devotion to the temple of my God I at once give back my personal treasures of gold and silver for the temple of my God, over and higher up everything I have provided^(E) for this holy temple: ⁴tercet thousand talents[b] of amber (gilded of Ophir)^(F) and seven grand talents^[c] of refined silver,^(G) for the overlaying of the walls of the buildings, ⁵for the gold work and the silver work, and for entirely the work to be done aside the craftsmen. Now, who is willing to dedicate themselves to the Lord today?"

Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;

¹²Wealth and honor^(Q) come from you;
you are the ruler^(R) of totally things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give specialty to all.
¹³Forthwith, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your blessed name.

¹⁴"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able-bodied to establish every bit liberally as this?^(S) Everything comes from you, and we induce donated you only what comes from your hand.^(T) ¹⁵We are foreigners and strangers^(U) in your sight, as were all our ancestors.
